Wild Plum tree

This beautifully wrapped Wild Plum tree looks stunning in any garden and is treasured for its abundance of pale pink flowers which blossom in early spring. In autumn the deep-red, sweet plums can be eaten straight from the tree!

The Wild Plum tree is organically nurtured here, in The Present Tree’s gardens, where we never use harmful chemicals or pesticides. So when you place your order a Wild Plum tree, botanical name: Prunus cerasifera, will be freshly selected by our devoted gardeners before being carefully wrapped and placed in its luxury parcel.

This Wild Plum tree is quite happy to be lightly pruned in early spring and may reach a height of 3 metres in 10 years, if allowed to grow naturally.

A card with your personal message, the story of the Wild Plum tree's ancient symbolism and a full care guide is also enclosed with your gift.

This deciduous tree naturally sheds its leaves every autumn and will remain in its dormant phase all winter. Fresh, new leaves will grow in spring and it’s well worth the wait. Read more about deciduous trees here.

In Celtic mythology the Plum tree is sacred and symbolises hope and happiness.

Every tree is growing in its organic pot filled with top-notch compost, so no green fingers are required, just natural daylight and water. We have added nutrients to your tree’s compost to create the perfect balance of nourishment. This organic goodness will release into the soil for several months to ensure your tree continues to flourish.

Place your Wild Plum tree outside, in its natural environment, even in chilly winter. In a few weeks, plant your tree, still in its organic pot, in a large flower pot (one with holes so excess water can drain away) or in a sunny spot in the garden.

The Present Tree's Organic Plant Care Kit is packed with all the health-boosting goodness suitable for your Wild Plum tree. Click here for more details.
