Make your own Black Tea

How to make your own Black Tea

  1. Pluck the top 2 leaves and bud on the new spring growth.
  2. Roll the leaves between your hands, and crush until the leaves begin to darken and become red
  3. Spread them on a tray and leave for 2-3 days somewhere dry and cool.
  4. Place the leaves in an oven at 100 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
  5. When they have cooled, store in an air-tight container until you are ready to make your brew.
  6. Simply crush your leaves into your tea infuser and place in freshly boiled water. 
  7. ENJOY YOUR DELICIOUS TEA! 

 

Make your own Green Tea

How to make your own Green Tea

  1. Pluck the top 2 leaves and bud on the new spring growth.
  2. Steam these leaves (like you would vegetables) for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Run cold water over the leaves after the 2 minutes. Your leaves should still be green in colour.
  4. Roll the leaves with your hands into tube shapes, imagine cigars.
  5. Spread them on an oven dish and place in the oven at 100 degrees C for 10 -12 minutes (turn after 5 minutes).
  6. When they have cooled, store in an air-tight container until you are ready to make your brew.
  7. Simply crush your leaves into your tea infuser and place in freshly boiled water.
  8. ENJOY YOUR DELICIOUS  GREEN TEA!
