Partridge in a Pear tree

*LIMITED EDITION*

This beautifully wrapped Pear tree gift includes a solid brass Partridge engraved with your chosen name to create a stunning gift that will always be treasured.

This Christmas send someone special a truly unique Partridge in a Pear tree! This Pear tree is a gorgeous deciduous tree with delicate, spring blossoms and dainty pears which ripen in autumn.

The solid brass Partridge is engraved with your chosen name so this gift is treasured forever. There's a Twelve Days of Christmas card enclosed too!

This deciduous tree naturally sheds its leaves every autumn and will remain in its dormant phase all winter. Fresh, new leaves will grow in spring and it’s well worth the wait. Read more about deciduous trees here or see our evergreen tree gift collection.

When you place your order a Pear tree, botanical name: Pyrus communis, will be freshly selected by our devoted gardeners here, before being hand wrapped and placed in its parcel.

It will happily grow in any garden and is wonderful for wildlife, especially birds and bees. This Pear tree is 30-35cm high, it is quite happy to be lightly pruned in early autumn and will reach a height of 3 metres in 10 years, if allowed to grow naturally.

A card with your personal message, the story of the Wild Pear tree's ancient symbolism and a full care guide is also enclosed with your gift.

OUR ETHICS The Present Tree is committed to conserving and protecting our precious natural environment. We promise that everything this company does will be the most planet-friendly option possible. Read about our Ethics and Commitments here.

Inspired by ’The Twelve Days of Christmas’ this gift is traditionally given on the first day of Christmas as the Wild Pear tree symbolises good health and happiness.

Place your tree outside, in its natural environment, even in chilly winter. In a few weeks, plant your tree, still in its organic pot so the roots are not disturbed, in a large flower pot (one with holes so water can drain away) or in a sunny spot in the garden.

Your Pear tree gift is growing in its organic pot filled with top-notch compost, so no green-fingers required, just natural daylight and water.

The deciduous Pear tree (Pyrus communis) naturally transforms with every season. In spring an abundance of white flowers blossom with a wonderful fragrance, they are loved by our honey bees. Fresh leaves appear in early summer; this dense foliage is perfect for garden birds to safely make their nests. Dainty pears ripen in autumn, before the leaves turn stunning colours and fall. The Pear tree remains bare and dormant all winter until the warmth of our spring sunshine encourages new buds to blossom - it's well worth the wait!

PLEASE NOTE Your parcel travels in a compostable bag so the couriers and recipients are aware a living tree is inside it and must be opened as soon as possible.
