Monstera

This beautifully wrapped evergreen Monstera is a stunning houseplant loved for its spectacular, heart-shaped leaves. This ancient tropical plant makes a wonderful indoor plant with natural air purifying powers!

It will thrive in a bright spot in any room. This Monstera prefers temperatures between 15-30C and a humid atmosphere, so it will enjoy daily misting.

All our trees are organically nurtured here, at The Present Tree. When you place your order a beautiful Monstera, botanical name: Monstera deliciosa, will be freshly selected by our devoted gardeners before being hand wrapped and sent on its way.

A card with your personal message, the story of the Monstera's ancient symbolism and a full care guide is also enclosed with your gift.

The Monstera is treasured in many cultures, including the practise of feng shui and symbolises harmony, good fortune and positive energy.

Please remove all the wrapping and place your Monstera in a warm spot indoors. It may grow in its organic pot for several weeks until you are ready to plant it.

Your Monstera will appreciate being lightly watered when the soil is dry and a daily water mist spray on its leaves. Never stand it in a saucer of water, as the tender roots may suffocate if they are constantly wet.

This plant's compost has been enriched with organic nutrients so your tree will thrive in its new home. In a few months it will be time to add more nourishment.

Plant your Monstera in a pot 25-30cm wide with holes for drainage and top up with an organic compost.

This Monstera can be cut back anytime of year and may grow 5m high in 5 years, if allowed to grow naturally.
