Lavender

This beautifully wrapped Lavender tree has an abundance of slender, aromatic leaves all year. Its violet flowers blossom with a wonderful scent that is loved by butterflies. Lavender's deeply fragrant leaves and flowers are also treasured in herbal remedies.

This evergreen herb can tolerate temperatures as low as 5C and will happily grow in a sunny, sheltered spot in any garden or in an outdoor flower pot for its lifetime.

When you place your order a beautiful Lavender plant botanical name: Lavandula stoechas, will be freshly selected by our devoted gardeners here before being gift wrapped by hand. This Lavender tree will slowly grow to a maximum height 1m.

A card with your personal message, the story of the Lavender's ancient symbolism and a full care guide is also enclosed with your gift.

In ancient mythology Lavender symbolises love and happiness.

Please remove all the wrapping and place your Lavender tree in a warm, sunny spot outdoors. It may grow in its organic pot for several weeks until you are ready to plant it.

Your Lavender will appreciate being watered only when the soil is almost dry. Never stand it in a saucer of water, as the tender roots may suffocate if they are constantly wet.

This plant's compost has been enriched with organic nutrients so it will thrive in its new home. In a few months it will be time to add more nourishment, especially when it is flowering.

Plant your Lavender in a pot 25-30cm wide with holes for drainage and top up with an organic compost.

This Lavender loves being snipped back after flowering and it may reach 1m high, if allowed to grow naturally.
