All black and green tea comes from this original Tea plant’s leaves and it is much-loved for its delicious aroma and flavour.

The Tea plant grows a fresh flush of fragrant, young leaves every year and these may be plucked from early spring until late summer. You can make your own tea by following our simple Tea Guide here.
All our trees are organically nurtured here, in The Present Tree's gardens. When you place your order a beautiful Tea plant, botanical name: Camellia sinensis, will be freshly selected by our devoted gardeners before being wrapped in organza and placed in its luxury parcel.
This Tea plant is 40cm+ high and may reach a height of 1m in 5-10 years, while plucking a crop of leaves and giving it time to grow naturally.
A card with your personal message, the story of the Tea plant's ancient symbolism and a full care guide is also enclosed with your gift. Add a personalised brass heart, star or plaque (see images) engraved with your message so this special gift is always remembered.

Tree Care
This Tea plant is growing in an organic pot filled with top-notch compost, so no green fingers are required, just add natural daylight and water. We have added special nutrients to your tree’s compost to create the perfect balance of nourishment. This organic goodness will gradually release into the soil to ensure your tree continues to flourish.
Your Tea plant will happily grow in its organic pot for the next few weeks. Then plant your tree (still in its pot so the roots are not disturbed) in an outdoor flower pot and place it in a bright greenhouse or sunny spot in the garden. The Tea plant thrives in dappled shade and can tolerate temperatures as low as -2C.
