In ancient mythology the olive tree symbolises peace and friendship.
This beautifully gift wrapped Olive tree has silvery-green leaves all year and an abundance of fragrant, white blossoms in spring. The small fruits ripen over several months, gradually changing from pale green to dark purple in autumn and they are delicious when cured.
Every tree is nurtured here, in The Present Tree’s gardens. So when you place your order a beautiful tree will be freshly selected by our devoted gardeners before being carefully wrapped in organza and placed in a luxury parcel.
An exclusively designed card with your personal message, the story of the Olive tree's ancient symbolism and a full care guide is also enclosed with your gift. You can add an engraved brass plaque (see images) inscribed with your message so this special gift is always remembered.

Caring for your tree
Every Olive tree is growing in its own organic pot filled with top-notch compost, so no green fingers are required, just natural daylight and water. We have added special nutrients to your tree’s compost to create the perfect balance of nourishment. These little beads of goodness will release into the soil for the next 9 months to ensure your tree continues to flourish.
Your Olive tree will happily grow in its organic pot for the next few weeks, just place it in a sunny spot in the garden or a cool conservatory. Olive trees appreciate being drenched with water when the surface soil is almost dry. We have added special nutrients to your Olive tree’s compost to create the perfect balance of nourishment. These little beads of goodness will release into the soil for the next 9 months to ensure your tree continues to flourish.
Plant your Olive tree, still in its organic pot, so the roots are not disturbed, in a large flower pot (one with holes so excess water can drain away). Your Olive tree will thrive in a sunny spot in the garden, a bright porch or cool conservatory. It will require the winter chill to encourage its spring blossoms and can tolerate temperatures as low as -5C.
Please note, your Olive tree has been recently pruned and is currently 30- 35cm high.
Olive trees may be lightly pruned in early spring and reach a height of 2 metres in 15 years, if allowed to grow naturally.
