2014

2014

We began 2014 with a gorgeous new collection of trees and shrubs which we grow and nurture in our greenhouse. Each tree is treated to top-notch nutrients and sprinkled with magical Neem oil. This gently protects and nourishes tender young plants and doesn’t harm our precious, natural wildlife, like frogs, ladybirds, honey bees and small birds. So our greenhouse is full of life!!

In Spring we were busy sending our beautifully gift wrapped Camellia and Evergreen Cherry trees across Europe for Mother’s Day. It was lovely to see so many cherished and adored Mums out there! We were all in a flutter when we received an order from THE Mr D’arcy (Ok, the real-life version of our wet-shirted hero)

Summer served up a delicious order: our gorgeous, gift wrapped Strawberry plants were presented to corporate clients at Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Then a flush of orders led us sweetly into the romantic wedding gift season. So it was Love all round at The Present Tree. (Please appreciate the tennis puns)

In Autumn, as our deciduous trees changed colour, we prepared our beautiful evergreen collection. As more orders came in from around the world our tree gifts arrived in interesting, far-flung places. It was wonderful to see our tree gifts at the Natural History Museum in London where they were presented to each guest at a gala event.

As Christmas 2014 approached we worked late into the night preparing our trees for Christmas gifts; we reflected on a wonderful year; celebrated our awards and raised a glass to The Present Tree and its happy team. 2014 has been an exciting year and we have loved every minute.
